This torque-controlled mid-motor kit is a great option if you want a natural-feeling ride. The controller detects how much power the rider is putting in and delivers between 36% and 300% of that power (depending on power assist setting). The torque control system is much more responsive than standard pedal assist settings so you won't have to wait for the power to ramp up when you take off and the motor stops as soon as you stop pedalling, removing the need for brake sensors.
In addition to the smoothness of torque-controlled operation this kit also looks great. The motor barely peaks out from behind the chain ring and only reduces ground-clearance by about 10mm.
The motor also features a standard spider for 110mm BCD chain rings, so it is possible to fit a wide range of chain ring sizes and getting replacements is no problem.
This kit is designed to fit bikes that have a standard 68mm cartridge-type bottom bracket.

This battery uses quality cells, similar to the cells found in high capacity laptop batteries. It is suitable for motors up to 500W. It comes with a slide-on rack mount that can be fitted to most heavy duty carriers.
