First service check
It is a MeloYelo policy to offer a free service check once the customer has done around 500kms on their bike. Please follow this process:
- Advise the customer when they are collecting their new bike that we offer a free service check, and that they should call you to schedule that check once their bike has about 500kms on the clock. Also let them know that if they have any issues whatsoever in the meantime, to bring the bike in for you to look at. Most common issues would be derailleur adjustments and brake adjustments.
- If you have not heard from the customer 2 months after they have purchased their bike, call them to find out how things are going and remind them about the free service check.
Here is the checklist for you to follow when performing the free service check. It is essential that you perform all of the checks on this checklist and make adjustments to the bike as necessary.
Once you have completed the service check, review the results with the customer and show them what adjustments you have made to their bike. This will instill them with confidence, and will increase the likelihood that you will get referral business from that customer.
