Originally from Germany, Juergen grew up riding bikes through the hills and countryside surrounding his home village. Kerry grew up on the North Shore of Auckland, and always loved the local beaches and getting out and enjoying the outdoors.  After living together in England for a number of years they embarked on a 1400km bike trip across Europe to Germany before finally settling on the North Shore in 2005.
A keen mountain biker, Juergen enjoys a weekly ride with good mates, as well as getting a few rides in during the week for fitness.  Being on a bike is his “happy place”.
Their first introduction to the idea of e-bikes was when Juergen’s parents in Germany said that they had each bought one so they could continue to enjoy their local rides.  Juergen’s dad even has a trailer on the back for the dog!
That new point of view was the start of their appreciation of the place of e-bikes alongside regular bikes.
