At MeloYelo, we don’t believe in using pressure tactics to get you to buy an ebike. In fact, there’s more pressure in our tyres than there is in our agents.

So come and sit down over a cuppa and we’ll gladly share our knowledge of ebikes with you. And, if you get to the point where you’d like to try some of our different models out, we will take the time to show you how the bikes work and then allow you to test-ride them in a safe environment.

Even if you haven’t ridden a bike in years, we’ll gently work with you, taking as much time as necessary to get your confidence up and most importantly, to get that e-bike smile on your face.

    In stock. The Superlite has been designed and engineered by MeloYelo, and is the culmination of a great deal of research into the needs of Kiwi e-bike riders. A segment of the market has told us that they’re happy to pay a bit more to get the lightest possible e-bike, but that it must be suitable for riding on NZ trails, up to grade 3. The Superlite ticks all the boxes. At 22kg it is no heavier than a carbon fibre ebike, yet 4kgs lighter than our other models. It has the high-power/high-torque Bafang M420 motor, a 10 speed Shimano Deore gear set, velvety smooth air suspension, hydraulic brakes, and a thumb throttle that gives you power boost when you need it, once you’re above 6km/hour. All of this in a step-through frame. Available in sky blue or arctic silver.

The battery is very easy to remove. We’ve included a chain guard so that your clothes don’t get caught in the chain.
