Are you looking for affordable e-bikes in New Zealand? Ebikes with both a warranty and a nationwide service network that are best-in-class?

MeloYelo offers a wide range of electric bikes for almost every kind of ride in New Zealand, from city commutes and urban cycleways to challenging, multi-day trail adventures. This article will provide an overview of our diverse lineup, including electric town bikes, trail bikes, and bikes that can conquer rugged mountain terrain.

Electric bikes for mountain trails: Conquer Mountains with Ease

MeloYelo’s full suspension ebike for rugged terrain on mountains and trails is coming soon.  It’s called the SuperTrail, and as you would expect from MeloYelo, it offers a step-through frame making it ideal for seniors and anyone with mobility issues that make it challenging to get on and off a traditional mountain bike with a top bar.

In addition the the SuperTrail, our third generation of our highly popular Ascent ebike is now available with a huge, 720 watt-hour battery, a throttle that works from a standstill, and ebike-specific gearing that offers easier gear-shifting, enhanced durability, and a wider range of gears to make climbing those mountains and hills easier.

These bikes will enhance your mountain riding experience. Moreover, they will let you push your limits while enjoying the great outdoors.

Electric Trail Bikes: Your Trail-Blazing Partner

Navigate trails with bikes designed for versatility:

  • Superlite High-Spec Trail E-Bike: This high-quality, lightweight electric bike is perfect for both trail rides and city commuting, with excellent handling and performance. Weighing in at around 22kg (depending on frame size), it is the perfect bike for caravanners and motorhomes who need to lift a bike onto a rack on their vehicles.
  • Ascent 3. Our previous generation Ascent ebikes proved themselves on Tour Aotearoa (North Cape to Bluff) as well as on many other challenging trail rides. Now we have taken the Ascent 3 to new heights, with a more powerful motor (114Nm of peak torque), a throttle that helps you get moving from a standstill and gives you an extra burst of power when needed, a bigger battery, and upgraded gearing.
  • The Town’n Trail (Rear Hub Drive) E-Bike: Best suited for riders who enjoy occasional, easy to moderate trail riding along with daily urban commutes.

These trail bikes provide the perfect blend of power and agility to make your ride both enjoyable and comfortable.

Electric Town Bikes: The Ultimate Urban Commute

Experience urban commuting at its best with affordable electric bicycles:

  • The Town’n Trail (Rear Hub Drive) E-Bike: Versatile enough for both town errands and easy to moderate trail rides.
  • The Zoomin Z1 urban commuter. Zoomin is MeloYelo’s new, urban commuting-specific brand. Head on over to the Zoomin website to learn more.

These Electric Town Bikes turn your daily commute into a joyride. They combine eco-friendliness with the latest technology.

In summary, MeloYelo’s lineup of electric bikes covers all your needs. From the power-packed Ascent3 mountain bikes to the versatile Superlite and Town’n Trail e-bike, each model is designed with specific riding demands in mind. Our bikes offer excellent performance, affordability, and sustainability.
