Meet Graham Tivers

I have been involved in the electrical industry for many years, initially as a Registered Electrician but moved into the electronic sector servicing and selling weighing scales. I also previously ran a successful van-operated tool supply franchise catering to the automotive industry. I have been attracted to battery powered technology for a number of years and having ridden racing bikes and mountain bikes in the past, I had started looking at e-bikes. When I was offered a MeloYelo E-bike franchise in Northland and Warkworth I jumped at the chance. “I love the fact that MeloYelo is a NZ owned and operated business and felt it was a perfect opportunity to apply my sales, service and electrical experience to a product I was passionate about.”

Graham has been excellent. He explained everything clearly and was very patient answering questions. We had two test runs. On the second, with the bikes he had brought up for us, he adjusted the bike handles to suit our size and posture on the bike. It made a surprising difference. Looking forward to using them for longer trips.

I just love my Melo Yelo e-bike and we go everywhere together! It has great balance, the curved handle bar is easy on the wrists and the saddle so comfortable. I also appreciated that there were no extras to buy as lights, mud guards and carrier are included.
After having had a look around the shops I found Graham's customer service surpassed every other one by miles!
For starters I was able to have a proper trial run not just a few metres up and down an alleyway. He brought the new bike to my house and adjusted it to my requirements
When i caught a nail on one of my first rides and an issue arose he fixed it over the weekend....and for free!

I have been finding my old mountain bike a little demanding on the hilly stuff as the years are catching up a bit but I don't want to slow down so I got seriously interested in an ebike. I wanted to try one before committing and contacted Graham from MeloYelo Whangarei. He couldn't have been more helpful, dropping off a Town and Trail for an extended test as well as talking me through the pros and cons of other models and bringing a couple to me to try. I was very impressed with the performance and build quality of all of them and as a result have just taken delivery of an Ascent mountain bike which I intend exercising regularly both on and off road.
