Since we introduced the first-generation rear hub-drive Town ‘n Trail electric bike back in 2019, it has been our most popular e-bike. Why? There are a few reasons:

Why might you choose a rear hub drive?
If you are a rider who is competent with changing gears and will be riding in hilly conditions, then a mid-drive bike will be your best choice. If you are a rider who will tackle hills by boosting motor power, but does not change down into a lower gear, then a hub drive bike will be your best option.

- We maintain a good supply of spare parts here in New Zealand;
- We train our stockists throughout NZ on how to troubleshoot, diagnose and fix most faults;
- Our stockists have easy access to our National Service Manager so that if they run into complex issues, those issues can be resolved without your bike having to be sent elsewhere for repairs.

I’ve had my MeloYelo Town’n Trail now for couple years, and absolutely love it! Mostly easy/ intermediate trails for me but my daughter has used it on advanced grades as well, and It’s never given me any issues at all. Good battery power. Would highly recommend.
