Since MeloYelo’s inception in 2016, we have strived to offer seniors a range of ebikes that are custom-designed with seniors in mind, including free extras that make our electric bikes road and trail-ready, at everyday low prices, and with the best peace-of-mind warranty in the business. Our eBike comparison chart below helps you compare what you get with MeloYelo electric bikes with other brands in NZ.

Custom designed with seniors in mind

The frame design on MeloYelo ebikes makes it easy for those with lower body mobility challenges to get on and off our bikes.

Also, we know that most seniors intend to ride a combination of roads and light trails, and that safety and comfort are key concerns. That’s why our bikes include free lights to improve your visibility, a saddle that is more comfortable than most, free mudguards to keep mud and dust off your clothing, and even a free rear carrier so that you easily add pannier bags, trunk bags or baskets to carry all manner of provisions or even pets.

Everyday low prices

We know that buying an ebike is a major decision and that it can take months, if not a year or more, to complete your homework. That’s why, instead of offering short-term sales, we have instead chosen to offer everyday low prices. With MeloYelo, you’ll get a great price regardless of when you buy. (We’re able to offer lower prices because our agents work from their homes, avoiding the high overheads that come with retail premises.)

NZ’s Best Ebike Warranty

MeloYelo uses world-class components on its ebikes. Plus, we have an industry-leading quality control system. Every single MeloYelo bike is checked and taken for a test ride by our independent quality control team as it comes off the production line.

Because of the focus we have placed on quality, and because of the reliability our customers have enjoyed as a result, MeloYelo offers a 3-year electric bike warranty (terms and conditions apply), which is considerably longer than the warranty offered by other brands. In addition, we maintain a good inventory of spare parts here in NZ so that if an issue does arise, it can be resolved quickly.

Is there anything else that sets MeloYelo apart?

Yes, it’s all about the experience.

  • The experience customers have when shopping for an ebike.

You can learn more about this by reading some of our many 5-star Google Reviews, but in a nutshell, our customers talk about the superior knowledge our agents have, as well as the fact that our agents are not pushy. Our customers love the fact that they don’t feel pressured into buying from MeloYelo.

Our customers also talk about the time our agents invest in helping them choose the right bike. It’s not uncommon for test rides to last an hour or longer – away from busy streets, and with the chance to try multiple models. And, for those who may not have ridden a bike in 10 or 20 years or longer, MeloYelo ebike agents offer extra assistance as you rebuild your riding confidence.

  • The ownership experience.

More than 1200 customers have joined our private Facebook community, where they meet each other, share stories and photos, encourage each other, and learn from each other.

Your first service check is free, and we’ll send you a reminder of when it’s due. You’ll also receive reminders about your 12-month and 24-month service checks. And, in most cases, the person servicing your bike is the same person who sold you your bike, so that you can enjoy a hassle-free ownership experience for years to come.

Give MeloYelo a try

Thousands of Kiwis have bought MeloYelos. In fact, there are families out there who own as many as 5 MeloYelos, along with customers who won’t even consider other brands.
