NZ Electric Bike Reviews: MeloYelo ebikes

Table of Contents

MeloYelo believes that the most valuable reviews are those from our customers. Their real-world experiences, not only with the bike but with their MeloYelo agents – before, during and after the sale – are what matter the most to us.

You can see lots of 5-star Google Reviews here. For this article, we have identified some gems to share with you. The comments below are verbatim comments, written by our customers, and submitted through Google Reviews:

Review of Northland agent, Graham Tivers:

“Graham provided me with great service through the process of purchasing my E bike. Graham brought a bike to my home for a test ride. A week later I am gleefully riding my new bike along the road. Graham answered all the questions I had to ask and I now have an E bike tailored to my needs. Continuing great service from Graham! After 18 months and 3750 km, I have upgraded from the Townee 2 to a Large Moody Blue Ascent MD. The Ascent MD is a solid bike, but not heavy. I am very happy with the product, sales and service provided by Melo Yelo.” Robert.

Review of Auckland agent, Grant Perry:

“Excellent advice and service from Grant – made looking at different bike models, understanding how they worked, and which would be right for a rider super easy to understand and accessible. Loved the 1hr+ test ride to get a proper feel for an e-bike! 10/10, would recommend booking in a visit if you’re curious about trying an e-bike.” Shahnaz.

Review of Papamoa agent, Vera Nelson:

“As soon as I arrived at Vera’s place I could see the quality of the bikes. Vera then went on to explain everything to me and after my test ride I was more than impressed with the simplicity of operating the bike. I didn’t even try to negotiate anything because after checking out all the other electric bikes on the market, I found MeloYelo to be an excellent buy. After riding from Te Puna to Omokoroa and return, the battery was still on full charge. I personally believe that these are value for money and if not undervalued. Vera’s service and knowledge was outstanding and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an ebike.”  Thanks, Athol.

Review of Taupo agent, Kai Nieheus

“Kai was so helpful when I started the process of deciding on an ebike. He spent a lot of time answering many questions, and gave me a lot of helpful information, and took me out on a demo ride. I had lost my confidence in climbing hills, even small ones, and he restored my confidence in my own abilities and in the bike’s abilities – I felt like a kid just having fun again! I bought the Superlite small, and it’s perfect size and weight for my size. Kai made sure to adjust the setup so it fitted me properly. Such a good quality bike. I’m going to have lots of fun on the trails and roads around Kinloch where I live and will be taking it with us on holidays too! One very happy customer.”  Tim and Lesley

Review of Otaki agent, Dave Rumsey

“Dave was extremely helpful with all aspects of the purchase of my MeloYelo bike. He allowed me time on different bikes and different setups on the bikes. He answered all questions my husband and I asked, showing his in-depth knowledge. I was very grateful to have the time to try the bikes on a quiet country road and also up a steep hill which made the decision making much easier. He delivered the bike as soon as I paid and I have been impressed with his service. I would recommend him.” Marie.

Review of Lower Hutt agent, Emma Gibbs

“Emma is fantastic, generous with her time, and super knowledgeable. I am delighted with my Superlite, which was perfect for the Pou Herenga Tai Twin Coast Cycle Trail (half) 37km and grade 2 mountainbike trails at Waitangi Mountainbike Park. Could have done grade 3 but I was too nervous and had a full pannier bag rattling around. Love that the bike came fully decked out with lights, stand, etc, since I will also be commuting. My husband had a pricier new mountain bike without a stand which is fiddly to place and his chain came off once (not MeloYelo). VERY impressed with the network that allowed me to collect from Graham in Whangarei to pick up, ordered through Emma in the Hutt, due to ship arrivals and my travel plans. Will report later after a few months of long term use, but very happy so far.” Snaiet.

Review of Nelson agent, David Morrison-Jones

“Although we have plenty of experience with push-bikes, we are new to e-bikes. Dave has a wealth of knowledge about ebikes, which he generously shared with us. It was great that we could test ride several different models in a rural location with hills and away from main roads. It was also good that Dave recommended mid-range bikes for us and didn’t just try to sell us one of the top-range models. The models we chose had to come from the North Island – even so they arrived in 3 days. Dave also took care to customise our bikes for us before we rode off into the sunset. We thoroughly recommend him.” Simon.

Emphasis on Rider Comfort:

According to Sarah J.’s review, “MeloYelo ebikes are designed with rider comfort in mind. The step-through frame and adjustable seat ensure a comfortable riding position, and the bike’s suspension system absorbs any bumps along the way.”

Impressive Range and Long-Lasting Battery Life:

John M.’s review highlights the impressive range of MeloYelo ebikes, stating, “I’m amazed by the battery life! I can easily cover long distances without worrying about running out of power.”.

Uncompromising Quality and Durability:

At MeloYelo, we stand by the quality of our products, providing riders with long-lasting enjoyment. A review from Lisa T. emphasizes the exceptional quality of our ebikes: “The attention to detail and build quality of my MeloYelo ebike is outstanding. It feels sturdy and durable, providing peace of mind for my daily rides.”

Exceptional Customer Support:

Customer satisfaction is our priority, and Paul R.’s review reflects our dedication to providing outstanding support: “The customer support at MeloYelo is fantastic. They promptly answered my questions and provided guidance throughout my buying journey.”

Affordable Value:

At MeloYelo, we believe that everyone should enjoy the benefits of an exceptional ebike without breaking the bank. Our customers appreciate the affordability of our ebikes, making it accessible for more riders to experience the joy of electric biking. Emma W. says, “MeloYelo offers incredible value for money. I was amazed by the quality and features I got at such an affordable price.”

Conclusion

Since our beginnings in 2016, MeloYelo has strived to be NZ’s most loved brand of ebikes. When you buy a MeloYelo, you’re not just buying an ebike, you’re joining a community.
