Since our inception in 2016, MeloYelo has focused on working hard to meet the needs of older riders, including those who may not have ridden any form of bike in many years. We’ve frequently asked our customers how they are using their MeloYelos, what they like and don’t like about the experience of dealing with MeloYelo, and how we can improve our bikes and our services to best meet their needs.
Our customers tell us that they like the no-pressure, informative approach our agents take. Part of the reason we’re able to take such a relaxed and educational approach is because with few exceptions, our bikes are not sold through bike shops, they are sold through our nationwide network of agents who work from their homes, and whose greatest concern is helping you find the best ebike for you and your needs.

Here’s how our process works:
- Complete our online test-ride booking request form here
- Your nearest MeloYelo agent will get in touch with you to arrange a convenient time and place to meet
- Our agent will have a chat with you about how confident you are on a bike and how you intend to use an ebike. And, if you haven’t ridden a bike in years, they will gently work with you, in a safe environment, to help you regain your cycling confidence (but this time, with help from a motor) 🙂
- Once our agent has learned about your situation and your needs, they will suggest one or more of our electric bike models for you to try – unless you already have a firm idea of which model you prefer (we have 6 different models, 5 of which offer easy step-through frames, including frames that are ideal for shorter riders.)
- You will have ample time for a test ride, as well as the opportunity to ride more than one bike. We certainly appreciate that you can’t get the feel of the bikes by riding 50 meters 🙂
- You will not be subjected to any sales pressure. Our agent will give you a business card, and at any time throughout your ebike shopping journey, you are encouraged to contact your MeloYelo agent with questions you might have.
